Product information "TWINS Special Boxing Gloves, BGVL-3, green-pink-white "
The BGVL3 is the absolute classic from Twins Special and has impressed since the early 2000s with its uncompromising quality. Handmade in Thailand from extra durable cowhide, it offers long-lasting craftsmanship that withstands even the toughest training sessions. Whether pad training, bag work, or intense sparring sessions – this glove always provides optimal protection and an excellent wearing experience.
The ergonomic fit ensures a secure and comfortable fit on the hand. Thanks to the sturdy Velcro strap, the wrist is reliably supported, while the integrated thumb loop allows for a firm fist closure. Typical for Twins is the slightly shorter cuff, which provides more freedom of movement, especially when clinching – a decisive advantage in Muay Thai.
Another highlight is the additional padding along the edge of the hand. This effectively protects when blocking kicks and significantly increases safety during training. It is no wonder, then, that not only Muay Thai professionals but also athletes from MMA, kickboxing, and traditional boxing around the world trust Twins.
With the Fantasy Series, you not only get one of the best Muay Thai gloves in the world but also a design that underscores your personality.

Care instructions
Leather boxing gloves remain durable longer if they are regularly cared for. Observe the following instructions:
-
Air out after each training
Open gloves after training, wipe the outside with a slightly damp cloth if necessary, and let them dry in a well-ventilated place. Avoid direct sunlight or heaters. -
Remove moisture
Moisture inside should be reduced after training. Special glove deodorizers are suitable for this, or alternatively absorbent paper. -
Care for leather
Occasionally apply some leather care or leather balm to keep the material supple and prevent it from becoming brittle. -
Observe hygiene
Wear wraps or inner gloves during training to reduce sweat and extend the lifespan of the gloves. -
Store properly
Always keep gloves dry and store in a well-ventilated place and do not keep in a closed sports bag for a long time.
Fit:
Boxing gloves from Thailand are usually cut tighter than many European models and therefore fit more compactly on the hand. If you have wider hands or use thick wraps, a larger size may be sensible.
Genuine leather gloves will adjust slightly and stretch a bit over time.
How to find the right glove size
| Size (Oz) | Recommended Use | Guideline Body Weight |
|---|---|---|
| 10 Oz | Focus pads / Competition / Heavy bag | mostly for lighter athletes |
| 12 Oz | Focus pads / Partner exercises / Heavy bag | mostly for light to medium-weight athletes |
| 14 Oz | Sparring / All-round training / Heavy bag | mostly for medium to heavier athletes |
| 16 Oz | Sparring / Maximum protection | often for heavier athletes or increased need for protection |
The choice of the appropriate ounces (Oz) is primarily determined by the type of training, desired protection, and personal wearing comfort.
The higher the number of ounces, the more padding, weight, and overall volume the glove has – and often also slightly more space inside.
For sparring, 14 oz or 16 oz are recommended in many gyms regardless of body weight.
